Preview of v2.0.3

You might be expecting to see the words 'major changes' and 'may break custom themes', but this shoudn't be the case for the next version, 2.0.3.  Though our release schedule is slowing down primarily due to the holidays, v2.0.3 will be a major update of sorts, but shouldn't break anything already working with a v2.0.2 installation (please see the prepping for 2;0.1 and prepping for 2.0.2 articles for details on changes required to implement those updates.)

The biggest change you can expect to see in v2.0.3 will be multiple language/translation support.  We expect to ship it with at least Spanish, German, Norwegian, Czech, Dannish, and Finnish translations.  This feature allows selecting the administration interface language though not the content, but this is still a huge step in internationalizing Exponent 2.0.  However, we are still working on a solution for the pure javascript scripts which would prevent having to transmit the entire translation (250K+) with each page since javascript is processed client-side (browser)  instead of server-side as with php.

You can anticipate seeing v2.0.3 released at the end of 2011.  However for the adventurous, the pre-release code is always available on github in the 'develop' branch (but it isn't always guaranteed to be fully functional).
