First update of 2012 - v2.0.4 Released
January 27, 2012 releaseThough lacking any 'end-of-the-world' type changes as with previous editions, 'Jumping Jupiter' still provides a load of updates and fixes to an already stable platform. The most significant of these is the revision of the semi-automated install/upgrade process which previously could be triggered by ANY user visiting the site. Therefore you MUST now use the entire installation URL (mysite.org/install/index.php) to start an install/upgrade.

January 2, 2012 site updateIt's a new year and time to try new things, right? We've updated the main ExponentCMS web site to use the latest version of Exponent (just as we did with the docs/help site a short time ago link). Users should notice subtle differences, but the more substantial improvements will greatly aid the people who run this site. Previously, it had been running on an almost ancient and heavily patched PR2 (pre-release 2) version. However now we are using standard software with only a custom theme. This should give you an idea of the power of ExponentCMS! Happy New Year!

October 28, 2011 releaseA somewhat major upgrade hits the streets as version 2.0.2 is released with the code name of 'Ravishing Rossdale.' Because this version implements some fairly major changes to the template engine (Smarty), we do NOT recommend you immediately upgrade production websites until after you test this version with your theme customizations and mods. Though only minor editing should be required to correct syntax problems, many of those problems can cause the site or pages to 'break.'
